Mobile needs skilled HVAC-R technicians to keep heating and cooling systems running reliably all year long. Summers here are long and hot while winters are short and cold. The city is also rainy and cloudy year round, receiving more than 5 feet of rain annually—even more than Seattle, WA.
Once you complete your HVAC Training in Alabama with Fortis, you will have the skills and knowledge to pursue entry-level HVAC-R work. You might apply at Mobile’s Alabama State Docks, which has expanded its processing and storage facility. Aerospace, manufacturing, technology, and construction companies also have facilities across the city and need well-trained HVAC technicians to keep them running smoothly. Fortis’ campus is situated near Optimist Lake and the Mobile Regional Airport. Our location is approximately one hour away from the Gulf Shores and convenient for native Mobilians and commuter students coming from Semmes, Eight Mile, Prichard, and Mauvilla.
From Downtown Mobile: Take I-165 N to I-65 S and exit at Springhill Ave. Take Old Shell Rd to the Fortis campus on Airport Blvd. at the intersection of Cody Rd.
From Mauvilla: Take US-45 and exit on Bellcase Rd/N University Blvd. Turn right after Mellow Mushroom Mobile, left on Foreman Rd. and right onto Airport Blvd.
